We're in Aiken for September!! Earn a couple of PDUs while gaining some project management insight to improve your game, as well as spend some time with some pretty cool people and enjoy Aiken's cool little downtown atmosphere. Dr. Liz Stewart, CEO of Stewart and Associates, Inc., will be sharing her knowledge and advice for organization effectiveness.
Dr. Liz Stewart, our speaker for September, is chairman emeritus of Stewart and Associates, Inc., a management, training, and survey consulting firm which focuses on helping organizations function more effectively. The firm’s specialties are human resource management, customized assessments and surveys, management and leadership development, executive coaching and support for organizational development such as mergers, downsizing and succession planning. The national firm has celebrated 38 years in business with seven offices throughout the country with 205 employees who are now owners of the company as of February 2022.
Her education credentials include undergraduate degrees in French, Spanish and Education, a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Economics as well as a law degree – all from the University of Florida. During fifteen years with XEROX Corporation, she served as a sales representative, sales manager and Regional Vice President of Organizational Development and Strategic Planning Services – the first female vice president.
Dr. Stewart is extremely active in her community. Throughout her career she has served on more than 80 boards and commissions. She currently serves on the boards of International Society of Economists, Chair - Rural Health Care Services, Chair - St. Mary’s Parish Council, Child Advocacy Center, Girl Scouts of SC, Family Promise of Aiken County, USCA Partnership Board, and Rotary Club of Aiken. She is the Vice-Chair of the Aiken County Planning Commission. Locally she has served on – and chaired – the boards of the Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Hitchcock Healthcare, SafeHomes of Augusta, and the City of Aiken Planning Commission. As a Rotarian she has served as club president and Assistant District Governor. She is a past Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year. In 2013 she was the first USC Aiken School of Business Administration Executive-in-Residence. In 2014 she received the USC Aiken Distinguished Partner award. She was the 2019-2021 Executive in Residence at USCA School of Business. She was chosen as the 2020-2021 USCA Distinguished Citizen of the Year. In addition to her board service, she now spends her time helping entrepreneurs start their businesses and speaking to groups of young women to support their successful careers.
